Kev’s 84 Mile Hadrian Wall Walk

I will be walking the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall (84 miles) in just 5 days in September. I am doing this journey to raise funds and awareness to battle DIPG, in memory of my friend’s son, Billy Thompson, aka Billy the Brave, a real-life superhero, who lost his battle in 2024 at just aged 4.

On one of the days of the walk, I will be doing it dressed up as a superhero, in honour of Billy, who always loved a good excuse to dress up.

I will be accompanied by my friend Danny, who is coming along for the stroll.

DIPG or ‘Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma’ is the most fatal of all brain cancer types, which specifically targets children. Currently, there are no approved or validated ‘data-driven’ effective treatments or a cure available, and the average survival time from diagnosis for a child remains staggeringly low at just 9-12 months.

Please donate what you can and/or share this page with others so we can all help fight this horrendous disease and spread awareness so other young lives and families do not have to suffer such loss and heartbreak.

UPDATE: Kev fundraised an amazing £2,700 for Billy’s Battalion!! Thank you Kev and Danny!
